Well guys and gals…. It is getting close to that time again…. The 9th Model Expo on Feb 23rd 2013. We have to have a list of members that will be attending just like last year.. It is free admission to members that bring a aircraft ( we have to limit 2 airplanes per member this year ) for display. Set up times are from 7:30 to 9:30 and doors for the show open at 10:00 am. If you arrive at 10 or after you will have to pay to get in. Entrance will be again in the rear of the museum like last year and there will be someone there to check off your name on the list. The doors will close at 10:00. You can also bring your planes on Friday nite and help set up for the show. From what we are feeling at the meetings, this might be the biggest show yet. We might have Channel 9 there. Channel 8 from Aurora does a taping for their station. Also Dan Daru will be doing his broadcast and Rick Crandell does a spot for us on 1430 am radio station.
M.A.S. is off to another great year. The annual Snowbirds event was a big success and the traveling trophy has a new home for the year. The task was doing as many loops as possible in 60 seconds. Tom is the winner with 25, followed closely by Lee and Jake.
We had a great lunch with more food than we could eat, no surprise there, and of course some good friends and a nice fire to keep warm. What more could anyone ask for.
Congratulations to Randy Petrie. August 4 and 5, 2012 Randy entered his first ever IMAC contest. This IMAC was the Mile Hi IMAC Challenge hosted by Mile Hi RC Club. In his very first IMAC competition, Randy placed first in the basic class! OUTSTANDING!!!!!

A new FDC NOTAM/TFR has been issued for the greater Denver, CO metropolitan area for Wednesday, 5/23 from 1:30p until 5:00p MDT. The TFR is issued for security purposes to cover VIP movement in this area. Outdoor Radio Controlled model aircraft operations are prohibited within the 32nm circle for the specific times listed below. Control Line and Free Flight modelers should use discretion and follow the directions of local law enforcement and government officials when operating within the 8 and 10nm inner circles. Please note that TFRs are subject to change with very short notice. Check back often for the most current NOTAM/TFR information.
